Darsania: an Indian city, in which women weave a garment within the space of a single day, as Dionysius in the Bassarica book 3 says: “or those who dwelt in Darsania, a city of broad streets, where women, by the skill of Athena, in a single day dye robes with saffron as they stretch them upon the loom-beams; and in a single day they cut them off and from the looms.” The ethnic is Darsanioi, as Karmānioi, Hyrkānioi, …-mānioi.
