Apsynthos: a city of Thrace. Apsynthis the land. The ethnonym Apsynthios and Apsynthias. There is also a kind of plant, about which Bolos the Demokritean. that Theophrastos in the ninth On Plants the sheep in Pontos that graze on wormwood have no gall. The spelling is twofold, both with 'y' and with 'i'.
