Histiaios in the first that the Phoenicians call strength 'berout', from which also the city, as Helladios says. The citizen Berytios as 'Azotios' 'Aigyptios'. 'Milesios' is noted among the locatives as having changed, as 'Theodosios', for 'theodotos' and 'athanatos' and 'ambrotos' are compounds. But 'charisios' is not a locative. It is oxytone as a trisyllable and has long 'y', as 'kokytos' 'gorytos' Kardytos the city. 'Sebennytos' is tetrasyllabic. There is also a city of Arabia, formerly called Diospolis. The ethnonym the same.
