Bisaltia: a city and region of Macedonia, from Bisaltes son of Helios and Ge. Around it the hares are almost all caught having two livers, as Theopompos relates and Favorinus. The ethnonym Bisaltes. There is also Bisaltes a river. The ethnonym Bisaltios, from which Bisaltia the land. Lykophron: "for the one the shore of the Strymon, Bisaltia".
