Stephanos of Byzantium - Ethnika
Bormiskos: a place of Macedonia, in which Euripides was torn by dogs; which dogs the Macedonians call in their native speech 'esterikai', the poet 'table-dogs'. Falling ill from the bites he died. The ethnonym Bormiskios as 'Tripodiskios' 'Doriskios'; you will find in their proper places.
