Χορασμίη, πόλις πρὸς ἕω Πάρθων. Ἑκαταῖος Ἀσίας περιηγήσει “ἐν δὲ αὐτοῖσι πόλις Χορασμίη”. αὐτοὶ δὲ Χοράσμιοι, ὡς αὐτός φησι “Πάρθων πρὸς ἥλιον ἀνίσχοντα Χοράσμιοι οἰκέουσι”. καὶ Ἡρόδοτος τρίτῃ “Πάρθοι δὲ καὶ Χοράσμιοι καὶ Σόγδοι”. καὶ πάλιν “τοῦτο τὸ πεδίον ἦν ποτε Χορασμίων”.
