Φιδήνη, πόλις Ἀλβανῶν. τὸ ἐθνικὸν Φιδηναῖος. ἔοικε καὶ Φίδηνα λέγεσθαι ὡς Ῥάβεννα, καὶ Φιδηνάτης ὡς Ῥαβεννάτης· οὕτω γὰρ Χάραξ ιβʹ κέχρηται Φιδηνάτης.

Phidene: Phidene, a city of the Albans. The ethnonym 'Phidenaios'. It seems also to be called 'Phidena', as 'Rhabenna', and 'Phidenates', as 'Rhabennates'; for so Charax in the twelfth book has used 'Phidenates'.
