Stephanos of Byzantium - Ethnika
Phylon: Phylon, the people, evidently from 'phyle', or that from which 'phyle' comes. The compound 'emphylos' and 'emphylios', as 'Boiotios' and 'kapros' 'kaprios' and 'Pamphylos' 'Pamphylios'. 'Phylios' is also said without the 'en'.
