Ἴνυκον, πόλις Σικελίας. Ἡρόδοτος δὲ Ἴνυκα αὐτήν φησιν ἀπὸ τοῦ Ἴνυξ, ἔοικε δ´ ἐσφάλθαι. ἀφ´ οὗ Ἰνυκῖνος οἶνος. ἴδιος γὰρ ὁ τύπος τῶν Σικελῶν. Ἰνυκῖνος οὖν δεῖ.

Inykon: a city of Sicily. Herodotos calls it Inyka from 'Inyx', but he seems to have erred. From which Inykine wine. For the type of the Sicilians is peculiar. So it must be Inykinos.
