Stephanos of Byzantium - Ethnika
Ichnai: a city of Macedonia. Herodotos in the seventh. Eratosthenes calls it Achnai. Philetas speaks of another with 'a'. The ethnonym Ichnaios and Ichnaia Themis. For when pursued by Zeus she was caught in the places of the Ichnaians, and from being pursued by track she was named. There is also another city of the east.
