Προῦσα, τῆς Προυσιάδος διαφέρει. ἡ μὲν γὰρ Προυσιάς Βιθυνίας, ἀπὸ Προυσίου τοῦ Ζηίλα τοῦ Βιθυνῶν βασιλέως, ἡ Κίος πρότερον ὀνομασθεῖσα, ἧς ὁ πολίτης Προυσιεύς· ἡ δὲ Προῦσα καὶ αὐτὴ μὲν πόλις μικρὰ Βιθυνίας, κτίσμα Προυσίου τοῦ πρὸς Κῦρον πολεμήσαντος. ταύτης τὸ ἐθνικὸν Προυσαεύς, ὡς τῆς Νῦσα Νυσαεύς.
