Stephanos of Byzantium - Ethnika
Tiryns: Tiryns, a city of the Peloponnese: "and those who held Argos and walled Tiryns". From Tiryns the daughter of Halos, who was sister of Amphitryon. It was previously called Halieis, because many of the Hermionians who were fishermen dwelt there. The ethnonym 'Tirynthios', and 'Tirynthias' the feminine, and 'Tirynthis'. The from a place 'Tirynthothen', to a place 'Tirynthonde'. It ought to have been Tirynthade, as from the accusative.
