Ἄμανον, ὄρος πρὸς τῇ Κιλικίᾳ ἀπὸ τοῦ Ταύρου καθῆκον. ἱστοροῦσι δὲ τὸν Ὀρέστην ἀπὸ Ταύρων σὺν Ἰφιγενείᾳ τὴν Ἄρτεμιν κομίσαντα [ἐν τούτῳ τῷ ὄρει] τῆς μανίας λύσιν εὑρεῖν. ὁ οἰκήτωρ Ἀμανίτης. εἰσὶ καὶ Ἀμμανῖται διὰ δύο « μμ », γένος τῶν Ναβαταίων Ἀράβων, ὡς Ἰώσηπος. ἐκλήθησαν δὲ ἀπὸ Ἀμμάνου τοῦ παιδὸς Λώτου καὶ τῆς νεωτέρας θυγατρός.
