Anemoreia: a city of Phokis, now Anemoleia. Homer: "those who dwelt about Anemoreia and Hyampolis". And Lykophron: "fatherland Lilaia and the plain of Anemoreia". It is named from what happens there; for overlying it is the place called Katopterion, it is buffeted by windstorms day and night from all sides. It is the border of Phokis and Delphi, lying on a tall hill. The citizen Anemoreus as 'Lykoreus' Apollo.
