Ἀρδαλίδες καὶ Ἀρδαλιώτιδες, τιμῶνται αἱ Μοῦσαι ἐν Τροιζῆνι, ἀπὸ Ἀρδάλου τινὸς ἱδρυσαμένου ἢ καὶ ἀπὸ τόπου. ἔστιν οὖν τοῦ μὲν Ἀρδαλιῶτις τὸ ἀρσενικὸν Ἀρδαλιώτης, τοῦ δ´ Ἀρδαλίς Ἀρδαλός ὡς Θετταλός.

Ardalides and Ardaliotides: the Muses are honoured in Troizen, from a certain Ardalos who founded, or also from a place. So of Ardaliotis the masculine is Ardaliotes, and of Ardalis Ardalos, as 'Thettalos'.
