Ἀρμένη, κώμη Παφλαγονίας. Μένιππος ἐν περίπλῳ. παρὰ δὲ Ξενοφῶντι ἐν Ἀναβάσεως [ϛʹ] Ἀρμήνην διὰ τοῦ « η ». τὸ ἐθνικὸν τῆς Ἀρμένης Ἀρμεναῖος, ὡς τῆς Κασμένης Κασμεναῖος, τῆς δ´ Ἀρμήνης Ἀρμήνιος ὡς Μεσσήνιος Παλλήνιος.

Armene: a village of Paphlagonia. Menippos in the Periplous. But in Xenophon in the Anabasis Armene with 'e'. The ethnonym of Armene Armenaios, as of 'Kasmene' 'Kasmenaios', but of Armene Armenios as 'Messenios' 'Pallenios'.
