Stephanos of Byzantium - Ethnika
Ombrikoi: an Italian people by the Adriatic gulf, between the Padus and the Picentine. They are also called Ombroi; there is also a river of Italy Ombros; they are called Oumbroi among the Italian writers. Among these Aristotle relates in his On Marvellous Things Heard that the cattle give birth three times a year, and the earth sends up crops many times what is sown, the women there are prolific; for rarely do they bear one, most bear two or three.
