Stephanos of Byzantium - Ethnika
Dicaearchia: a city of Italy. This, they say, was called Potioli, in which Herodian wrote the Symposium. The Romans call wells potia, and olēre means “to stink”; for it had foul-smelling wells. The ethnic should be Dicaearchus; there is also Dicaearchitēs, as Zeleitēs.
