Δικαιάρχεια, πόλις Ἰταλίας. ταύτην δέ φασι κεκλῆσθαι Ποτιόλους ἐν ᾗ τὸ συμπόσιον ὁ Ἡρωδιανὸς ἔγραψε. πότια δὲ τὰ φρέατα καλοῦσι Ῥωμαῖοι, ὀλῆρε δὲ τὸ ὄζειν· δυσώδη γὰρ τὰ φρέατα εἶχε. τὸ ἐθνικὸν Δικαιαρχεύς ἔδει. ἔστι δὲ καὶ Δικαιαρχείτης ὡς Ζελείτης.

Dikaiarcheia: a city of Italy. They say this was called Potioloi. In it Herodian wrote the Symposion. The Romans call wells 'potia', and smelling 'olere'; for it had foul-smelling wells. The ethnonym ought to be Dikaiarcheus. But there is also Dikaiarcheites as 'Zeleites'.
