Dindyma: mountains of the Troad, from which Dindymenê, i.e. Rhea. The local is Dindymâios; and the goddess Dindymenê as well. <***> since there are also the forms Dindymênos and Dindymenê and Dindymios and Dindymia— from the place-name Dindyma, hence “from Dindyma”.
