Stephanos of Byzantium - Ethnika
Erythrai: a city of the Ionians, Hekataios in the Asia. It was called Knopoupolis, from Knopos. There is also another of Libya, and another of Lokris. There is also of Boiotia, and another of Cyprus, now Paphos; the citizen Erythraios. And locally Erythraiethen. Naukrates the Erythraian, who commented on Homer, was also so styled.
