Kabalis: a city near Kibyra, to the south of the Maiandros. The genitive is 'Kabalidos'. A citizen is a 'Kabaleus'. Hekataios in his Asia. Also in the feminine, as per Strabo in the aforementioned: 'The Kibyratai are descendants of the Lydians who gained possession of Kabalis.' However, Alexander Polyhistor says that the feminine is 'Kabalissa', and that they are Olbian by descent.
