Πείσανδρος ὁ διασημότατος ποιητὴς Καμιρεὺς ἦν. λέγεται καὶ Καμιρίτης καὶ Καμιραῖος, καὶ θηλυκῶς.

Kamiros: a city on Rhodes, after the son of Kerkaphos the Heliad and Kydippe. Rhodian women are 'Kerkaphides' after Kerkaphos. There were three, as Homer says: 'Lindos and Ielysos and gleaming white Kamiros.' A citizen is a 'Kamireus'. Peisandros, the renowned poet, was 'Kamireus'. 'Kamirites' and 'Kamiraios', in the feminine too, are also said.
