Δάλμιον, πόλις Δαλματίας μεταξὺ Ἰλλυρίας καὶ Ἰταλίας. τὸ ἐθνικὸν ὅμοιον ἢ Δαλμιεύς. “ἴδιον δὲ τῶν Δαλματέων τὸ διὰ ὀκταετηρίδος τῆς χώρας ἀναδασμὸν ποιεῖσθαι”. Ἀππιανὸς δὲ τὴν πόλιν Δελμίνιον καλεῖ, Κουάδρατος δὲ Δέλμινον. φασὶ δὲ αὐτοὺς καὶ Δαλμάτας.

Dalmion: a city of Dalmatia, between Illyria and Italy. The ethnonym is similar, or 'Dalmieus'. 'It is a peculiarity of the Dalmateans to carry out a redistribution of the land every eight-year cycle'. Appian calls the city Delminion, and Kouadratos Delminon. They also say they are Dalmatai.
