Stephanos of Byzantium - Ethnika
Kenchreai: a city in the Troad, in which Homer spent time learning the stories about the Trojans. (2) A second is a city and harbour of Corinth. (3) A third is in Italy. The ethnonym is 'Kenchreates', as in 'Korseates'. Poseidon too is called 'Kenchreios', after his son, the hero Kenchrios.
