Stephanos of Byzantium - Ethnika
Kenchreai: a city in the Troad, in which Homer spent time learning the history of the Trojans. A second, a city and harbour of Corinth. A third in Italy. The ethnonym is 'Kenchreates' (as in 'Korseates'). Poseidon is also called 'Kenchreios' after his son, the hero Kenchrios.
