Κόριον, τόπος ἐν Κρήτῃ ἀπὸ κόρης τινός. ὁ πολίτης Κορήσιος. καὶ λίμνη Κορησία. καὶ Ἀθηνᾶς ἱερὸν Κορησίας. ταῦτα δὲ ἀπὸ τοῦ κόρη γέγονεν. ἀπὸ δὲ τοῦ Κόριον τὸ ἀνάλογον Κοριεύς.

Korion: a place in Crete, after a certain maiden. A citizen is a 'Koresios'. There is also a lake 'Koresia', and a sanctuary of Athena Koresia. These are from 'kore'. From 'Korion' the analogous form is 'Korieus'.
