Κορυφάσιον, χωρίον Λακωνικὸν πλησίον Πύλου. Θουκυδίδης τετάρτῃ. τρεῖς δέ εἰσιν αἱ Πύλοι ἐν παροιμίᾳ “ἔστι Πύλος πρὸ Πύλοιο, Πύλος γε μὲν ἔστι καὶ ἄλλος”. τὸ ἐθνικὸν Κορυφασιεύς καὶ Κορυφάσιος.

Koryphasion: a Lakedaimonian village near Pylos. Thucydides, book 5. There are three Pyloses in the proverb: 'There is a Pylos before Pylos, and there is also another Pylos.' The ethnonym is 'Koryphasieus' and 'Koryphasios'.
