Zeleia: a city of the Troad. "and those who dwelt in Zeleia", Homer. From the hero Zeleios. Others call it Zele. In Poseidippos it is found with 'i'. The ethnonym Zeleites. Herodian says Zeleiatai. For there is both Zeleiates and Zeleites. There is also Zeleia a fort of Kyzikos, as Diogenes in the third Kyzikos. The ethnonym the same. Poseidippos says Pandaros was buried by the Simoeis: "nor did Lykaonian Zelie receive you, but the outpourings of Simoeis... therefore Hektor and the close-fighting Lykaonidai set up a tomb for you".
